Registered Practitioner

Please note: Registered Practitioner is granted on a temporary basis for the required length of time an individual needs to prepare for their BABICM Advanced Membership Assessment that enables them to become a BABICM Advanced Registered Practitioner member.

Registered Practitioner membership is for those working as a case manager who hold a relevant professional qualification and are registered with a regulatory body, with one of the following statutory qualifications:

  • Chartered Psychologist
  • Doctor of Medicine
  • Registered Nurse
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Social Worker
  • Speech & Language Therapist

Any other registered professions will be submitted to the council for consideration. Applicants must be registered with a Professional Body that is responsible for actively monitoring the registrants CPD.

Benefits of Registered Practitioner Membership include:

A copy of the BABICM Competency Framework & Standards, discounted rates to attend BABICM events, training and conferences (including access to further discounted ‘Earlybird’ rates). This membership level also offers you access to the members-only section on the BABICM website to benefit from specialist news, articles and our resources.

Registered Practitioner Membership Fee

£100 per annum.

Membership Application Notes

1. Please can you complete the online membership application form. This will mean you only need check your details next year at renewal time.

2. Once your membership has been approved you will receive notification with an invoice attached. This invoice can be paid by BACS or by credit/debit card via a link in the invoice.

3. Although BABICM strives to ensure that all its members work to a high standard, with integrity and in good faith, BABICM is unable to individually monitor every individual at all times. Membership Terms & Conditions

    • Memberships may be cancelled at any time but are not eligible for refund.
    • Members will receive 3 reminder emails 30, 15 and 5 days prior to expiry date. Those on standing orders will receive 1 courtesy reminder. Memberships will be terminated 1 week after renewal date and Advanced and Corporate Associates will be removed from the BABICM website. It will be the member’s responsibility to inform BABICM on any changes and to cancel current payment methods.
    • Cancellation of membership can be made to secretary@babicm.org and be received prior renewal date.
    • A 30% admin fee will be applied once subscriptions have been validated and a cancellation is then invoked.
    • Members making payments via foreign banks or exchanges will be required to pay an additional 20% to cover fees.
