BABICM has 3 membership categories for practising case managers: practitioner case manager; registered practitioner case manager and advanced practitioner case manager. BABICM cannot endorse members. Only advanced practitioner members have been through an evidence-based assessment process in order to demonstrate they have reached the BABICM competencies at level 3 and thereby achieve advanced status.
Advanced Registered Practitioner members are required to be a registered practitioner member and have significant and relevant brain injury case management experience over a period that is the equivalent to 3500 hours (three years full time working) as a case manager.
Registered Practitioner membership is for those working as a case manager who hold a relevant professional qualification and are registered with a regulatory body.
Practitioner membership is for those working as a case manager but who do not hold a registered professional qualification.
