Part 1 – Identifying client care needs and investigating statutory funding

Clinical Lead and Case Manager at Westcountry Case Management, Pascoe will be speaking about the practicalities of setting up care for clients in the community. This will include how to identify a client’s care needs, deciding between agency and direct employment, sourcing emergency cover and how evidence of a client’s clinical presentation can be demonstrated.
Part 2 – NHS Continuing Healthcare

With extensive experience in community care law, James Pantling-Skeet of Lester Aldridge will be exploring statutory provision through the NHS in terms of Continuing Healthcare and Personal Health Budgets. Arising issues such as restrictions in terms of top ups of PHBs and demonstrating a met need still being a need will be explored.
Part 3 – Direct Payments and Adult Social Care Funding

Part 4 – Issues which may occur related to direct employment
