As Assistive Technology is a relatively new field, we’re finding that many Case Managers are unaware of the potential benefits AT can bring for brain injury sufferers.

• The AT Ambasador at Access Technology has been completing 9 GCSEs at home, using a joystick and specialist software (he has since been employed by Access Technology)
• A VI client winning a poetry contest after dictating to a specialist app on his phone
• A client ‘throwing’ a ball for his dog, using a button by his knee
• An ABI sufferer is now able to cycle long distances again, as his wife can monitor his location (although this does have the downside that he can’t sneak off for a pint…)
