2025 marks a historic milestone, not only for Brotherwood Automobility – but in the development of accessible transport for wheelchair users; marking the 40th anniversary of the invention of the lowered floor Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) by Rod Brotherwood OBE. An innovation which not only launched a company, but an industry.

Following on from a record number of poster entries in 2024, BABICM are delighted to launch the 2025 poster presentation competition. Entries are to be displayed and judged during the annual 2 day event on 17th and 18th June 2025 and as well as printed copies for display.  For the first time, all entries will be available to view on the BABICM website prior to the conference!

The rising cost of living, rampant inflation and an increasingly transient workface are all contributing to the current dearth of support workers. These factors have a knock-on effect for both case managers and their clients, impacting the continuity of care, putting increased pressure on client budgets, increasing admin and recruitment costs.
