A recent survey of BABICM members from different membership categories found  that the organisation meets member expectations, provides the support and information that case managers require, and communicates expertly and with an acceptable frequency.

Andrew Rose, BABICM Company Strategy Group Chair said: “BABICM is the leading membership organisation for professionals in brain injury and complex case management and it is important to ensure that we are meeting members’ needs and communicating efficiently and effectively.”

Members were asked a series of questions over the telephone about their membership and the way the BABICM communicates.  Each interview took about 20 minutes.

Overall, the respondents were extremely positive and encouraging about the  membership benefits they received.  BABICM is a ‘go to’ place that informs and supports case management practice, and membership of the organisation provides credibility.

The BABICM membership benefits that were highlighted included the access to knowledge, support, and the excellent training in terms of quality and quantity.  The BABICM website is a useful source of information and accessed by most respondents.

Vicki Gilman, BABICM Chair said: “Thank you to the members that took part in the survey.  Working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and experience, and providing high quality, evidence-based training will ensure that we can provide our clients with the best possible service.”
