BABICM Chair, Angel Kerr, held a meeting this week with Holly Simpson of the Ministry of Justice. Holly is collating information regarding the vulnerability of the elderly, people with learning disabilities and individuals with a brain injury to exploitation and financial abuse.
The Ministry of Justice is planning to draft a policy early next year – a policy that will ensure vulnerable individuals are protected and one that BABICM will have input into.
We will share further information on this once we have received an update from the Ministry of Justice.
