Membership Categories

 

Corporate Member

'This category of membership is open to all professional organisations, companies and groups with an interest in case management. It is not appropriate for case management companies, whose staff should all join BABICM individually, no matter what role they do within the company, in any of the following categories:

·         Affiliate, Non Registered Practitioner, Registered Practitioner or Advanced Registered Practitioner.

Benefits of Corporate Membership include – discounted rates at BABICM events for up to 4 delegates.  Priority sponsorship opportunities at events, access to members only section of BABICM website for news & relevant articles, access to other member details on the website for networking purposes. Member details will be displayed on the BABICM website under list of our corporate members.

 

Corporate Membership Fee is £300 per annum

Affiliate

AFFILIATE Members will be all those individuals with an interest in case management and would include clients, family members and any other interested parties and those who are actively involved in the provision of case management. It is not appropriate for case managers who should join BABICM individually in any of the following Practitioner categories: Non Registered Practitioner, Registered Practitioner or Advanced Registered Practitioner.

Benefits of Membership include – copy of BABICM Competency Framework & Standards documents, discounted rates at BABICM events, access to members only section of BABICM website for news & relevant articles.

 

Affiliate Membership is £100 per annum

 

Student Membership

STUDENT membership is open to any person currently studying part-time or full-time in one of the recognised professions for becoming a registered practitioner:

·   Chartered Psychologist

·  Doctor of Medicine
·  Registered Nurse
· Occupational Therapist
· Physiotherapist
· Social Worker
· Speech & Language Therapist

Students of subjects that are related to the field of brain injury and/or health or social care may also apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please note: Eligibility for student membership ends at the time that the person finishes studying, at which point they have the option to register for one of the other membership categories.

Student Membership is £25 per annum

Practitioner

PRACTITONER Members will be those working as a case manager but who do not hold a registered professional qualification which meets the criterion required for Registered Practitioners and Advanced Registered Practitioners.

Practitioner Membership is £100 per annum

Registered Practitioner

Candidates eligible for the Registered Practitioner category will have qualified and practised and be registered in a relevant profession with one of the following statutory qualifications: 

·         Chartered Psychologist

·         Doctor of Medicine

·         Registered Nurse

·         Occupational Therapist

·         Physiotherapist

·         Social Worker

·         Speech & Language Therapist

Any other registered professions will be submitted to the council for consideration.

Applicants must be registered with a Professional Body that is responsible for actively monitoring the registrants CPD.

Membership in this category will be on a temporary basis for the length of time they require to prepare for their peer review for admission to the Advanced Registered Practitioner Category.

Practitioner Membership is £100 per annum

Advanced Registered Practitioner

Advanced members will have significant and relevant case management experience over a period that is the equivalent to 3500 hours (three years full time working) as a case manager.  All applicants for this category must be existing BABICM Registered Practitioner Members and acceptance into the Advanced membership category will be dependent on peer review assessment. Candidates must submit evidence to their peer reviewers to demonstrate that their practice is commensurate with current BABICM Standards and the Competency Framework at Levels 2 & 3.

Benefits of Membership include – copy of newsletter online, a copy of the annual yearbook, copies of BABICM Competency Framework & Standards documents, discounted rate at BABICM events.  Access to members only section of BABICM website for news & relevant articles, access to other member details on the website for networking purposes.  Member details will be displayed on the BABICM website under list of our advance members.

 

Advanced Practitioner Membership is £100 per annum

Honorary Membership

Honorary membership is reserved for those BABICM members that have served a whole term as Chair within the organisation.
